Leave a Legacy for Local Kids
A legacy gift is a way to make sure the doors of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon stay open for local kids long after any of us are here to hold them. It costs nothing today, it can be changed at any time, and for many families it becomes the most meaningful gift they ever make.
Why it matters
Every afternoon, hundreds of local kids in Bend and La Pine walk into a Club where they are safe, known, and expected to succeed. The families who count on us most are often the ones who can least afford to lose that. A legacy gift helps guarantee that a child born twenty years from now will find the same open door.
Simple ways to leave a legacy
A gift in your will or trust. Name Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon for a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or what remains after loved ones are provided for. A sentence is all it takes; sample language is below.
A beneficiary designation. Name the Club as a full or partial beneficiary of a retirement account (IRA, 401(k), 403(b)), a life insurance policy, or a bank or brokerage account. This usually takes a single form from your plan administrator and does not require changing your will.
A gift from your IRA. If you are 70½ or older, you can give directly from your IRA tax-free. Learn about IRA giving
Gifts of stock or from a donor-advised fund. Appreciated securities and DAF grants are simple, tax-smart ways to give today. Learn about stock and DAF gifts
A gift to our endowment. Endowment gifts are invested permanently and produce income for the Club every year. Learn about the endowment
