Meet Our CEO

Michael Baker began is career with Boys & Girls Clubs while a college Student at the State University of New York in Albany (now UAlbany) in 1988. Michael graduated in 1990 and took a full-time job with the Boys & Girls Clubs in Lodi, New Jersey. When Michael arrived in Lodi, they had 4 members. That’s right, only 4. Michael created a very successful partnership with the elementary schools where he would go and conduct recess programming daily. He also launched Saturday programming for the first time at the Lodi Club as well. When Michael left Lodi in 1993 membership had grown to 750 members and Saturdays were the busiest day of the week.

Michael then moved on to take a job as the Club Director of the Everett Boys & Girls Clubs in Everett, Washington. Michael created a very successful outreach partnership program with the Everett Housing Authority. This resulted in free memberships for all of the school-aged youth that lived in the complex nearest to the club. One of those members, was Liberty Franklin, who went on to win the National Youth of the Year Award for all of the Clubs in the Country. This is the highest honor given to one member from the entire movement.

Baker left Everett to start a new Boys & Girls Club organization in Skagit County Washington. They opened their first club location in a shopping mall in Burlington Washington. During Michael’s tenure in Skagit County he built relationships with several school districts and secured a $500,000 grant from Senator Patty Murray’s office.

Michael then went on to run the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellingham Washington. During his time there he was able to lay the foundation for a very successful merger that resulted in the creation of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County.

Michael then moved on to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim. During his 15-year tenure there he grew the organization from a $350,000 annual budget to a 1.5-million-dollar budget. He created a very successful Motel Outreach Program that helped the, more than, 2,000 school aged children living in motel rooms in Anaheim with daily services to and from the clubs for free.

Michael then moved to Santa Barbara California where he took over an organization that was $750,000 in debt. During his 11 years there the clubs eliminated all their debt and grew their reserves to over 1.5 million. Michael helped navigate the organization through a devastating wildfire at their Camp, a roof collapse at a club and of course all of the COVID 19 pandemic.

Michael started with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend on November 3, 2025 and is thrilled to be here. Michael has said, “I have 12 more years to go and then I will have reached a pretty significant milestone….50 years working for the Boys & Girls Clubs” “I want to finish my career here in Bend and help grow this organization to serve all of Deschutes County.

Meet our Team

Jennifer Graham

Jennifer Graham is a longtime Central Oregon resident and youth-focused nonprofit leader dedicated to creating environments where young people feel connected, challenged, and able to grow. A former elementary school teacher, she brings both classroom and systems-level experience to her work with youth and families. Jennifer most recently served as Youth Programs Manager at East Cascades Works, where she led regional initiatives connecting youth across rural, urban, and tribal communities to opportunity and support. She has been recognized locally for her leadership and contributions to youth initiatives across the region. In addition to her nonprofit work, she and her husband co-own a small low-voltage technology business in Central Oregon, while at home she is raising three teenagers and keeping up with two dogs, Kash and Sirius, who add plenty of noise and personality to daily life.
Alice Ivie

Alice Ivie is the Chief Development Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon. With more than 15 years of nonprofit experience, she began her career as a volunteer and remains passionate about building relationships, strengthening community partnerships, and connecting people to opportunities that support local youth. Alice lives in Central Oregon with her family and believes some of the best things happen when people stay curious and work together to make a difference.

James Keane is the Finance Manager at the Boys & Girls Clubs, where he oversees the organization's financial health and strategic budgeting. A proud graduate of the Lundquist School of Business at the University of Oregon, he brings a strong foundation in fiscal management and strategic planning to the team.
For James, the most rewarding part of his role is knowing that the financial stability and growth he works toward directly support the organization's mission. His favorite thing about working at the Boys & Girls Clubs is having the opportunity to make such a positive impact on so many youth throughout the local community.

Jeffrey is thrilled to support families across our region through the programming at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon. Since joining the organization in 2019, it has been a joy for Jeffrey to strengthen systems and processes for our team while building meaningful connections with the youth, families, and community partners we serve.
Jeffrey is continually moved by the opportunity to lend his skills and expertise to a cause that creates meaningful, lasting impact for young people. Being part of this work — and helping build brighter futures for youth in Central Oregon — is one of the greatest privileges of his career.
Devan Richards-Seefeld

Devan joined BGCCO in 2017 because she is passionate about creating spaces where youth and families feel supported, seen, and empowered. She holds a Masters of Social Work and approaches her work through a person-centered lens that prioritizes connection and understanding while honoring each youth's unique history, experiences, and circumstances. Devan loves helping youth explore their emotions and understand themselves so they feel confident as they navigate life. She believes every young person deserves opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive, and BGCCO provides the environment to bring that belief into practice.
Kory Marlowe

Kory Marlowe is the Program Director and Academic Success Coordinator for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon, where he is dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for youth to learn, grow, and thrive. An Oregon TSPC-licensed educator, Kory earned his Bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University–Cascades in 2018 and his Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in English Language Arts in 2019. Throughout his career, he has taught, substitute taught, tutored, coached, and mentored youth across Central Oregon. In addition to his work with Boys & Girls Clubs, he is a USA Basketball Certified Coach and serves as the Head Coach of the 17U Elite AAU Boys Basketball Team for Three Peaks Performance in Bend, where he emphasizes leadership, accountability, resilience, and personal growth. Inspired by a beloved high school teacher and influential mentors from Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee, Kory felt called to dedicate his life to helping young people discover their potential and purpose. He believes every young person deserves encouragement, opportunity, and someone who genuinely believes in them, and he considers it a privilege to play a role in helping youth become confident, compassionate, and successful leaders.
