Board of Governors
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon are lead by a multi-tiered volunteer board system. The regional services are headed by the Board of Governors (BOG). The BOG oversees the individual Branch Advisory Councils (BAC) of the region. Each BAC then focuses strictly on the needs of its specific branch. Volunteers fill all positions on both boards.

- Planning long-range strategies
- Determining general program directions
- Overseeing special events and fund raising efforts
- Providing expert assistance to the administrative staff as needed
- The board meets quarterly and standing committees meet throughout the year
BAC responsibilities:
- Branch operation according to BOG policy
- Using organizational assets to accomplish its mission
- Determining branch objectives consistent with organizational objective
- Deciding on branch programs and services
- Identifying and securing local resources to carry out branch activities
- Initiating fundraisers
- Providing service to standing and ad hoc BOG committees
- Councils meet monthly or as needed by branch staff
